This saxophone HAS BEEN RE-LACQUERED at some point in its life. The quality of the re-lacquer job is absolutely top notch, making it difficult for even seasoned techinicians to see the evidence. Almost none of the bell engraving has been lost; although some of it is less crisp and legible when compared to an original-lacquer horn. The condition of the body is 9.9 out of 10. There are 2 extremely minor dings on the bow that you really have to look for to even find. Otherwise, there are almost zero blemishes on the horn. Although re-lacquered, this horn still plays as you would expect a VI to.
This also comes with an extremely great condition, sought-after case. The Selmer Chesterfield Tray Pack case perfectly fits the Mark VI alto and comes with a built-in clarinet case. In the lid of the case, there are holders that fit a flute case as well. Underneath the clarinet case you'll find a hidden storage compartment as well; perfect for mouthpieces, reeds, neck straps, etc. This case has been perfectly cared for and is in excellent condition. The zippers both work very smoothly in their full range of motion, and the case handles are perfectly in-tact and funtional.
