For added protection, each mandrel is fitted with 1/16" neoprene foam padding This layer cushions the instrument during use and can be easily replaced when worn.
The included organizer features embedded magnets that perfectly align with magnets in each mandrel, keeping the full set securely stored and organized. Designed with a universal fit in mind, this set includes a range of mandrels that cover most brass instruments -- from trumpet to tuba. Simply choose the largest mandrel that fits the stuck slide, apply light to moderate force with your preferred mallet, and as always, pre-heat the slide tubes for optimal results.
Important Note: This tool set is intended only for slightly or moderately stuck slides. Improper use or excessive force may result in damage to both the instrument and the mandrels. The PETG-CF filament was chosen specifically for this reason. When overused, the mandrel should break before damaging the instrument. When used correctly, this method significantly reduces the risk of damaging the crooks compared to traditional tools like slide pliers or the Gerhardt tool.
